Our History
Bruce Robinson Diamonds was established in 1969 by Bruce Robinson. He initially learned his trade under Alfred Ulrich, a renowned Swiss-German tiara artisan based in Sydney, with Bruce subsequently acquiring unique skills as one of the last tiara craftsmen in the country. He continued his apprenticeship under the watchful eye of John Spencer, also in Sydney, moving on to create and design bespoke rings.
Bruce then returned to his home town of Brisbane, very successfully running his own jewellery store in the Brisbane CBD for 28 years, before re-locating to New Farm, from where the store has now operated for over 22 years.
Bruce was a jewellery industry leader, serving as a past State and Federal President of the Australian Jewellers Association and also as a foundation member of Australia’s National Council of Jewellery Valuers.
Bruce Robinson Diamonds commenced its long association with Argyle Pink Diamonds more than 26 years ago, building a strong relationship and developing invaluable knowledge and expertise in working with these spectacular natural pink stones, as well as acquiring and building up an impressive collection.
Management of Bruce Robinson Diamonds is now in the experienced hands of Cameron Robinson, who represents the family’s second-generation.
